
The Warren Public Library is pleased to welcome Katherine Sherbrooke, author of the novel Leaving Coy’s Hill, to the library on Thursday, November 21 at 6:30 PM.
This tale chronicles the life and achievements of suffragist and abolitionist Lucy Stone, a West Brookfield native and the first woman in Massachusetts to earn a college degree. Sherbrooke’s novel is based on the true events of Stone’s life and crusade against inequality amidst a deeply divided country.
Copies of Leaving Coy’s Hill are now available at the library to check out for all who wish to join the community read and attend the discussion and book signing.

Katherine Sherbrooke is the author of Leaving Coy’s Hill, Finding Home, Fill the Sky and The Hidden Life of Aster Kelly. She is the chair of the GrubStreet Creative writing Center in Boston. She lives in Massachusetts.
